The Skyline Theatre Company
starts it's season with the romantic Neil Simon musical comedy
They're Playing Our Song!
STC is launching its 2008-2009 season with the Neil Simon romantic Broadway musical, They're Playing Our Song October 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th at the Ramapo Stage, 331 George Street in Franklin Lakes. This production stars New York actor and Stockholm New Jersey resident Bob Barth as Vernon Gersh, a famous song writer based on the A Chorus Line composer Marvin Hamlisch. Mr. Barth has been seen on the David Letterman Show and in many Off Broadway productions. His co-star is New York actress Tiffany Lutz, who plays Sonia Walsk, a struggling lyricist, based on the shows lyricist Carole Bayer Sager. Ms. Lutz comes to this production directly from headlining on The Pride of America cruise ship touring Hawaii.
The show is based on the romantic relationship of Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager as they try to figure out romance in New York City inside the complicated world of show business. The show has received productions in Los Angeles, Broadway and the West End, and is currently getting a London revival this year. Neil Simon's witty and laughter filled script together with Hamlisch's score makes They're Playing Our Song a wonderful musical for romantics of all ages.
