Posts: 4113 01/14/08 3:36 PM the Maestro	Aw, that was one of my favorite segments on Ron & Fez a few years back. The initial discussion of this question was fantastic. In terms of the test, though, I topped out at taking out 30 five year olds. But, I must say that I'm a little suspect of the answers. Five seems to be a bit young to inflict much damage -- I would imagine a much harder challenge if you moved it up to 8-10 year olds. But, just a thought. But, indeed -- since every thread, with the exception of the holiday stuff and the three or four threads Frants and I were posting in, hadn't been touched in over a month (some in MUCH longer than that)... we figured we might as well purge and start fresh. Nothing more depressing than all those reminders of the old times. You know, when we used to make fun of Bobo. Or, when Sperm would actually be "working" and able to post a few quips on how good his sports teams were doing. Stuff like that. But thanks for fulfilling the prophecy -- when Frants and I discussed the idea of doing this last week, we both agreed that you would be the first to reply. I'm impressed it was on the first day... Any bets on when the next person will show up? Not like we really need any more reasons to be sick of this election already.... ...but this morning on CNN, Heidi Collins asked some guy, "Is McCain the 'change' candidate or the 'envision' candidate" or some bullshit like that. WHO CARES!? For the last few days, the media has been selling this 'fight' between Obama and Clinton over something she said which could or could not be construed as racist. The two of them haven't really commented on it, but if the media says they're fighting, well let's get 10hrs of coverage a day. Remember the 'controversy' over Edwards' haircut? Or what Obama's lack of a flag lapel pin means? Or how much did Hill tip that waitress in Iowa? Huckabee's 'charisma' vs Romney's 'charisma'? MEDIA PEOPLE, WE ARE ELECTING THE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTRY. WHO WILL BE PRESIDENT FOR 4 YEARS. OUR CURRENT PRESIDENT SHOULD SHOW YOU THAT 'FOLKSINESS' AND 'FRIENDLINESS' DOES NOT MAKE A PRESIDENT. What are they going to do if elected? Health care? Economy? Security? Iraq? Give me details, I need details. What exactly are you going to do? One of the successes of the 2006 elections was that the Dems said, "Look, here's what we're going to do in our first 100 days if we win the House." And there was a list. And on that list were issues. You wanna argue and fight over the issues? Fine. But let's NOT fight over whether Obama is 'black' enough or if Romney's smile is too white. These damn news networks gotta fill 24 hours a day with something, or they'll lose ad dollars. NOT the best way for us to get our information. At least, not for shit that matters. For Britney updates, yes. But not actual news.
