(and old) music out there to be appreciated, and I'm set on doing my part.

"Closer" - Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon are a band that slowly grew on me over the course of their last few albums. I know Frants didn't enjoy seeing them open for U2 (I'm still
convinced it was the way the sound was set-up for them...), but...

after all these years of listens, it's still a sweet slice of wistful, melancholic, melodic 80's pop.

Also re: the much enjoyed Decemberists...I spent a week or so binging on the "Mariner's Revenge Song".

The Milwaukees are a Jersey City band that I've been listening to for about 10 years. This track come off their latest album American Anthems Vol.
1, definitely worth a download from iTunes. They're playing local gigs now... we should go see them sometime.

A crazy, hectic day at work requires some sort of relaxation as it finally comes to a close. I can't pop open a beer just yet, so I put on this
tune by my Brooklyn boys, TV On The Radio, who have a new album out called "Dear Science", and who just performed a new tune on Letterman -- while
standing on the fire escape.

I would second Mok's emotions. I also really enjoyed Because of the Times, their last one. They're not world-changing, but I enjoy listening
to them.

Today's track is yet another one from Wilco, which will mark their third appearance in these song selections. It woke me up this morning as my
alarm, and I've been hearing it in my brain all day.

I would agree that they are a studio band... but i've also never seen them perform live. As for other albums, Youth & Young Manhood. One of
the singles that came of that album was "Molly's Chambers". I think it was used in a Volkswagen commercial. I always liked the song
